Beirut, December 1st 2011: In its 9th annual edition and under this year’s motto “Take it to the street”, the BLOM Beirut Marathon kicked off on Nov 27th, 2011 bringing together more than 32, 000 runners from 80 different countries.
In an event that inspires unity and promotes wellness, ideas group decided to get engaged in Beirut marathon initiative this year by adopting a team from Sidon International school to help them take part in the Marathon by securing their registration, transportation and meals. The ideas group adopted team tshirts read “Performance is a mindset”.
ideas group was also prominently displayed in Down-town Beirut. “ I am taking my potential to the street” was ideas group’s motivating slogan that was used on light poles displayed in Achrafieh streets.
ideas group is committed to its purpose of “Driving positive change in the lives of people around us, enabling them to enjoy the fruits of life” says Camil El Khoury Chief Vision Officer of ideas group. “ We are ready to support any initiative in the region that aims to develop the minds and spirits of our people similar to what the “Beirut Marathon” is about.

I came across an inspiring quote sent to me by Charbel Khoury at Atlantis financials From The Secret Daily Teachings:
“It is when you no longer feel the need for money that money will come. The feeling of needing money comes from the thought that you don't have enough, and so you continue to create not having enough money. You are always creating, and when it comes to money, you are either creating the lack of it or the abundance of it.”
And Charbel explains after the quote the importance of gratitude in one’s life. Here I couldn’t just stop without sharing with you the importance of gratitude and the wonders it has done to my life.
I started a habit of writing a gratitude list every once and a while, by simply stating the good things in my life. At the beginning I used to struggle to write 3 or 4 sentences; but once I started it, my list got filled quickly with amazing things happening in my life.
The effects of such list are out of this world; every time you write down things you are grateful for you get an incredible energy boost that makes you continue building on an idea or a goal that you have already started or start a new thing. It opens doors of opportunities.
For the more pragmatic people reading this, it is not magical or supernatural, it is just the power of identification. Once you focus on the good things in life, you will start identifying similar other good things and hence be able to catch every opportunity that presents to you. It happens to us on a daily basis; how many times someone talked to you about a new car that you have never seen, and suddenly the week that follows, you will see a dozen of that car?
To help you write you own list, I am going to share with you some points of my gratitude list:
I am Grateful for ideas group’ vision getting closer to achievement
I am Grateful for Doing what i Love and Loving what i do
I am Grateful for all the opportunities that are presented to me
I am Grateful for my strategic partners who value the power of synergy
I am Grateful for my clients who gave me their trust that is sometimes unconditional
I am Grateful for my friends who are always present when needed despite my constant absence
Happy 2011 and may it be filled with Great Gratitude.
Camil El Khoury

It’s here again…that magical time of the year is here again…oh yes it’s Christmas.
Usually every holiday, especially that time of the year, people start becoming forgiving, forgetting and all about giving, and making others happy.
This Christmas, have you thought about what you want to give? And by this I don’t mean gifts or any materials items, I meant what do you want to give people around you?
This might seem selfish; however, to end up the year with a great achievement, what about giving people at the office something that will help them end their year on a better tone.
By coaching people, you will strengthen your relationships, people will feel that you are a source of trust and you will feel like you have made a difference in your workplace.
Make sure they are specific when they fill the table, and ask them to choose a mentor ( it could be you) to follow up on those action points.
Christmas is a time of giving, and the self satisfaction from giving others new ways to think is priceless. So Merry Christmas, and good luck.
